Jim Loyless has been involved in archery for approximately 50 years.  Beginning at the early age of six  experimenting with persimmon sprouts and switch cane.  He made his first kill at age seven, his grandmother’s prize rooster, which he never forgot for more than one reason. 

He eventually got caught up in the modern compound technology race but never lost his love for the feel and beauty of wood.  He had the good fortune of meeting a bowyer who had trained with Mike Fedora,  and Jim trained  with him for approximately two years.  He built bows for himself, family and friends and eventually HUNTERS MOON was born, fulfilling his dream.  Jim is a superb craftsman with an eye for detail.  Every bow he handcrafts is specially designed to provide high performance, but also remain a beautiful work of art.
